Nara Bloom writes with close-miked voice, detuned guitar, and silences that carry as much weight as a chorus. The songs begin quietly and rarely stay there.

For Magnetic Weather she brought six players into one live room and kept the open doors, chair movement, and count-ins in the final takes. On stage the arrangements contract to guitar, bass, drums, and voice.
